The Journal Approval application consists of a workflow where the users can easily upload Excel spreadsheets or Excel forms into a workflow and start the workflow process. In the next step, the user can send the form forward to be reviewed and approved. The reviewer/approver can get an email notification about the task. By clicking on a link on the email, the form will be opened and the Excel displayed.
If the data is for some reason wrong and cannot be approved the form is sent back to the originator who will correct the data and re-submit it for approval.
If the data can be approved, the data is posted into SAP with a simple push of a button. A full Audit trail is maintained and SLA reports can be produced.
Benefits: The whole work process can be shortened and duplicate data entry can be eliminated. The implementation time for the described process is 2 days exclusive of installation of servers.
