Precisely Automate Studio and SAP Fiori – What You Need to Know
Did you know that starting from Automate Studio version 24.0, you can both record and run scripts for SAP Fiori apps?
Automate Studio now supports the following technologies:

UI5 (SAP Fiori apps)
-
SAP GUI for HTML
-
SAP WebGUI (for SAP GUI usage in a browser)

Licensing Overview
-
Studio Runner licenses can execute all three script types.
-
Studio Developer licenses support recording for SAP GUI for HTML and WebGUI.
-
UI5 (Fiori app) recording requires a new license type: Developer Pro.
Continuous Improvements in Fiori Support:
Since the release of version 24.0 in February 2024, Fiori functionality in Automate Studio has been significantly enhanced:

Version 25.1 introduced the new Standard Fiori Recording Mode, improving stability and enabling additional features.
-
Version 25.2 added web service server execution for both Evolve and Studio Manager, further strengthening enterprise automation capabilities.
Important Recommendation Before You Invest:
From version 25 onwards, Automate Studio fully supports working with Fiori apps — however, this does require a Developer Pro license.
Before making any purchasing decisions, we strongly recommend verifying whether the apps you are working with are true Fiori (UI5) apps, or simply SAP GUI screens launched via Fiori tiles.
We frequently see cases where customers assume they need Developer Pro, when in fact the standard Developer license is sufficient.
To be certain, we recommend starting with a Developer Pro trial license to validate compatibility with your specific apps.

Past Events
During SAPSA Impuls Stockholm 2025 in November, we hosted a well-attended session on data quality and citizen development as key foundations for S/4HANA and AI.
The session highlighted the importance of empowering business users while maintaining strong data quality and governance, as well as the role of practical, scalable automation in turning strategy into day-to-day execution.

In November, David Nelson, CEO of Adsotech Scandinavia, spoke at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences on the topic “How to Start Your Career 101.”

Together with Valtteri Voutilainen (Spets) and Juha Kolmonen (Nokia), the session highlighted career development, leadership, and the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone. The discussions with students were inspiring and a great reminder of the curiosity and ambition driving the next generation.

We are refining our Customer Success approach to focus on timely, high-value discussions. Going forward, Customer Success reviews will be held annually, approximately three months before renewal, to align on license usage, future needs, and upcoming plans.

This ensures the right stakeholders are involved at the right time, while additional sessions with users or technical teams remain available whenever needed.
