News

An update on the PHP vulnerabilities

You may have seen news about two critical security vulnerabilities in PHP, software widely used to run web services (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619). They could allow attackers to run malicious code on a server without logging in. The PHP development team released security updates on 21 October 2026 and recommends installing them immediately.

Precisely Automate. Precisely has confirmed that no component of the Automate product suite, including Evolve, Studio, Worker and Studio Manager, uses PHP, so the reported vulnerabilities do not appear to affect these products.

AboveTARGET. As a precaution, we took AboveTARGET.com offline for about 14 hours to assess the impact on the service and decide on the protective measures needed. The service is back up and running. We apologize for the interruption and thank you for your understanding.

New Blog post

The can of worms is open: why reactive security no longer holds

adsotech-newsletter-november-2026-blog-reactive-security.jpg

In October, cyber security made the front page twice: supermarket fridges across Europe were switched off remotely, and two critical PHP vulnerabilities pushed websites offline. Onni Lindroos looks at why Nordic companies still treat access risk as a question of audit readiness, and why AI agents with real access to finance, procurement and HR systems make that habit expensive.

Automate 26.1.1 is now available

Version 26.1.1 of Automate Studio, Studio Manager and Evolve was released at the beginning of October. The main new feature is support for the latest SAP GUI version, 8.10.

Evolve Cloud Essentials: the first customer worldwide is in the Nordics

Evolve Cloud Essentials, the cloud version of Studio Manager from Precisely, now has its first customer worldwide, and it is an Adsotech customer here in the Nordics. We introduced Evolve Cloud Essentials in our August and September newsletters. Seeing a Nordic company be the first to take it into use shows how far our customers are taking SAP automation.

ITSM Connector for SAP: What’s New in Fiori

STA Technologies, the developer of the ITSM Connector for SAP, has shared what has changed for Fiori users.

If you log or work tickets through Fiori, the workflow now looks different in a few concrete ways:

  • Screenshots capture themselves. The plugin grabs the screen automatically the moment a ticket is started, no clipboard paste required.

  • It runs on SAP Build Work Zone as well as on the on-premise Fiori Launchpad, deployed as a signed MTAR with XSUAA and Cloud Connector support.

  • A non-blocking docked panel replaces the old pop-up, so you can keep working while you finish a ticket.

  • More context lands on the ticket automatically: screen content (redacted with a rule-based exclusion engine), error messages, console entries, and SU53 authorization checks with automatic role search.

SBN 2026 recap

Data quality as a habit: our talk at SBN 2026

adsotech-sbn-2026-oslo-stand.jpg
adsotech-sbn-2026-oslo-david-nelson-session.jpg

Adsotech took part in the SBN SAP Conference 2026 in Oslo as a silver sponsor, with a stand and a session.

In the session, David Nelson, CEO of Adsotech Scandinavia, spoke about how to move from fixing data issues as they appear to a data quality culture. With so much that could be done, the hard part is knowing where to begin. So we suggested starting small: regular, repeatable steps, such as setting aside a couple of hours each week to clean data. Over time, the effect builds up, and your data is ready for what comes next, including agentic AI.

The room was full. We also ran a short poll during the session. Of the 14 people who answered, 8 named material master as the SAP data that gives them the most headaches, and 10 are already live on S/4HANA.

Among the audience, we gave away a copy of Atomic Habits by James Clear, a book built on the same idea: focus on small habits and take the first step.

Thank you to the SBN organizers, to everyone who stopped by our stand, and to everyone who joined the session.
