Precisely's CEO and CPO will share the company's new direction and vision, followed by a live demo. IDC and two customers will then talk about what it takes to get data ready for AI in practice.

Nordic User Group 2026 in Espoo

Juha Haverinen (Fiskars Group) described master data in a company with more than ten brands, several factories and several ERP systems, where the aim is one common operational model and business users who are more accountable for their data. He also covered what is topical right now, including the EU packaging regulation (PPWR) and the EU deforestation regulation (EUDR).

Two round tables reached a similar conclusion: before you automate, look at the process and at the shape of the underlying data.
Day one ended with two demos. Sadat Ahmed from Precisely showed where the platform is heading. Timo Ylikoski from Adsotech then worked in SAP through an AI assistant connected to Precisely's MCP server. He changed a material's net weight, validated and posted three sales orders from PDF files, and created a business partner from a web form built from an Excel template.

Who owns your data? Are the rules written down, or do they live in someone's head? Who has the mandate to govern and make changes? These questions came up again and again at the Nordic User Group on 24–25 September, where we welcomed customers and Precisely colleagues to our office at Keilaranta 1 in Espoo.

Minna-Liisa Siltala (Orion Pharma) showed how Orion built its global product master data step by step. After the PLM data migration and go-live in 2022, Orion redesigned its business processes in the first half of 2023, then settled data ownership and centralised data entry. The result was processes that support high-quality data, without a legacy data cleansing exercise. Data issue management followed in 2024, which she described as a major leap in data quality. Her takeaways: have all capabilities in place before using global master data, understand how the data is used and what quality and lineage it needs, and treat governance as a daily responsibility.

Timo Ylikoski was direct about where the value sits: for a single update, the Excel add-in is just as quick. It gets interesting when the AI assistant also connects to other systems. The silence afterwards was broken by an audience member saying "That's insane!"
That moment stayed with us. In our blog post, we take the arguments from the User Group further: what the demo means for data quality and governance, and what it takes to be ready for AI that works directly in your SAP data. Read the blog post: "That's insane!" and the fish tank: Data governance is an AI accelerator, not a hurdle.
On the second day, Coaching Day, participants worked through practical sessions in small groups, built around what they told us mattered most to them.

Everyone who filled in the feedback form said they would join us again. One participant named what they liked most: a mix of customer experience, an outlook on what is happening, explanations of functions, troubleshooting and the chance to ask questions.

"The feedback from customers was really good. They liked the sessions, the pacing, and that there were lots of different things going on. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Espoo." David Nelson, CEO of Adsotech Scandinavia.

Thank you to our customer speakers for sharing their experience, to the Precisely colleagues who travelled to Espoo, and to everyone who stayed for dinner and for the extra day of coaching.
New Blog post
"That's insane!" and the fish tank: Data governance is an AI accelerator, not a hurdle
Our blog post builds on the arguments we heard at the Nordic User Group. It looks at what happens when an AI assistant can update your SAP data in seconds, and why governance is what makes that speed pay off. It also tells the fish tank story David Nelson shared that morning.

If an AI assistant could access, read and make changes to your SAP data tomorrow, how confident are you in the data quality and governance it would be working with?

Upcoming Trainings
Trainings with Timo Ylikoski
When we asked what the best part of the Nordic User Group was, one participant answered with a single word: Timo.

Timo Ylikoski, who gave the live demo on Day 1 and worked with participants on Coaching Day, also leads our Automate Studio trainings. We have received a lot of positive feedback about his sessions, both this year and last year. You are welcome to join him in one of the trainings below.
-
28–29 October, Espoo, in English: Automate Studio 2-day Basic Training. For developers new to Automate Studio. Excel and SAP GUI basics are enough.
-
11–12 November, Espoo, in Finnish: Automate Studio: kahden päivän jatkokoulutus (suomeksi). Advanced features for more dynamic scripts.
-
18–19 November, Espoo, in English: Automate Studio 2-day Advanced Training. The same advanced content, for those who know the basics.
We also offer a range of private training opportunities. If you would like a training for your own group, reach out to us at training@adsotech.com.
Upcoming conference
Meet us at SBN SAP Conference, Oslo
Join us for our session during the conference:
Prepare data for agentic AI with Proactive Data Ownership

Date/Time: Tuesday 20 October, 13:20–14:00 CEST
Room: Modum-Trollveggen
Speaker: David Nelson, CEO, Adsotech
How do organisations move from fixing data issues one by one to a habit of data quality across departments? In this session, we show how small, regular data quality work adds up over time, based on the experience of SAP customer Stora Enso. It helps you prepare your data for agentic AI, meaning AI agents that carry out tasks in your SAP systems.
